Monday Funnies... Enjoy :)

To all of you who are teachers and those who ever tried to fool a teacher!  :)

The Final Exam

At Penn state University, there were four sophomores taking chemistry and all of them had an 'A' so far.  These four friends were so confident that, the weekend before finals, they decided to visit some friends and have a big party.  They had a great tie but, after all the hearty partying, they slept all day Sunday and didn't make it back to Penn State until early Monday morning.  Rather than taking the final then, they decided that they would explain to their professor why they missed it.  They said that they visited friends but on the way back they had a flat tire.  As a result, they missed the final.  The Professor agreed they could make up the final next day.  The guys were excited and relieved.  They studied that night for the exam.  The next day the Professor placed them in separate rooms and gave them a test booklet.  They quickly answered the first problem worth 5 points.  Cool, they thought!  Each one in separate rooms, thinking this was going to be easy... then they turned the page.  On the second page was written...

For 95 points:  Which tire?

Report card for the first two weeks of summer...

Our first full week of summer held soccer camp for both of the wild things.  Hunter loved the coaches that came over for the MLS camp last year so we signed both of them up for it this year.  They both {even Jorden who we were beginning to think maybe soccer wasn't her thing} came away at the end of the week asking if they could go again!

Hunter had his spring piano recital.  This time he managed to memorize his songs ~ both of them.  I do think he is enjoying it but was ready for it to be a summer break.

We ~ as in Bart and I ~ had a beautiful moment at the Apple store.  {I think Hunter thought he had died and gone to heaven in there too  :)}  The box below came home with us  :)  Fast new computer = happy more rested mommy  :)

Week one ... PASS

Week two has included a new adventure for the Bailey house... Cub Scout Day Camp!  WOW!  That is all I can say.  There are, thankfully, some very very dedicated people that made the week a perfectly memorable week for our boys... small tornado and all!

While Hunter was at scout camp.... Jorden was lost!  She needs him to function and that became very obvious very quickly.  So we did things that Hunter would never dream of agreeing to.  The best part of our week was the tea party she had for her American Girl dolls.... Kit, Samantha, and Ellie.

She and I also found some perfect shoes that had to come home with us and have not left her feet since.
We closed out week two with our first of I'm sure what will be many trips to the pool.  Finally this year they can both swim!

Week 2.... Another Passing Grade!

As a closing shot.... we are all very excited about the upcoming Olympics.  Especially little miss Jorden.  The gymnastics trials this weekend made her head twirl... along with the rest of her body ~ literally!  I think we will have to give gymnastics a try this fall.  After all with this kind of talent who knows maybe the Olympics of 2016...

Now Let's review...

Let see what a chaotically fun week involves...

2 class end of the year parties. At least this time they were on different days so I could be at both instead of bouncing back an forth :)

The last day of school. This year I remembered to take a last day of school picture so I could compare the changes from the first day of school. Conclusion.... the kids are growing up way too fast!

Date night on Thursday. Since school was out we decided to go then. We got a fabulous babysitter that the kids all ready want back (yea someone fun they want) and went out riding on the new bikes. Bart had figured out a 20 mile loop earlier in the week and we were ready. Well I had been warned about the clips on the shoes being tricky and to plan on falling. Should have listened a little closer... 3 times I fell! I now have a beautiful case of road rash on my right leg, a very bruised knee on my left and the bottom of my left hand hurts to touch anything. I still had an amazing time and can't wait to go again! It is an amazing rush to be moving down the road with nothing slowing you down... it really clears your head.

Friday morning started with my early workout but this week was a little different. I thought it would be a good idea to try and do all three ... swim, bike, run .... a few times before the triathlon in July. Just so I could see how I felt make adjustments before hand and really be ready. So I went and swam my 500 meters, went to spin class with Katherine, then met Lindsay for an outside run. I was tiered and it was humid/hot. Needless to say definitely need to keep training :) Then once the kids finally rolled out of bed about 9:45 or so we had a primary activity. Fun water games in the park, a perfect kick off to summer.

Saturday now. Bart had been telling me all week he had something for all of us to go do Saturday night and we would be leaving around 6. Ok great I don't have to come up with entertainment, that works for me. When asked where we were going he wouldn't tell. I am not very good about surprises. So after a day of yard work and finally a haircut for me ( side note... I am finally not closer to blond again... Tony agreed it was time to be a burnett again :)) we get all the orders for the week done and to the post office and start driving south. Several things are south of us... Six Flags, The convention center, oh yea and the Ballpark! We had a very fun night at the Rangers game. Best seats ever..... on the first base line! The kids had sooo much fun and somehow they both ended up coming home with balls. Jorden got hers from the other teams first base coach who had come over to Hunter and offered it to him if he would cheer for them while we were up getting food. Hunter said no he was there to root for the Texas Rangers. So when we got back he came over and gave it to Jorden since her brother wouldn't cheer for them. She was soo excited wouldn't let go of it all night. Then someone hit a foul and the Rangers first base coach got the ball and tossed it to Hunter! What are the odds... oh well it definitely helped settle the arguing over the ball :)

Now it is Sunday which will include a primary lesson needing to be taught and some preparation for next weeks soccer camp. I have so many things whirling around in my head to get done to make this summer super fun so I am going to try and get them done this week while they are at camp. I'll keep you posted.
